Welcome to the WAØSLU Website dedicated to QRP operation and music education!
This Website is devoted to providing information about low power amateur radio operation for the QRP enthusiast. If you desire to rekindle the excitement of digging out of the QRM a distant contact with equipment built with your own hands, then QRP operation is for you.
Although there is some controversy as to what qualifies as QRP operation, it is the generally accepted view that any transmitter operating up to 5 watts output is operating QRP. Operating at these low output power levels in this time of high power signals on the amateur bands presents a challenging, but exciting experience for the ham operator interested in "building his own" and sharpening his/her operating skills. The traditions and spirit of ham radio are alive and well in the QRP community.
